Text message alerts for staff with US mobile numbers

Some employers use Seezonee to send work messages to their staff on WhatsApp. If you have a US mobile number, Seezonee can also send you a short text when a message is waiting for you, so you don’t miss it.

How to sign up

  1. Your employer gives you a sign-up poster or link. Scan the QR code or tap the link.
  2. WhatsApp opens with START already typed. Read the notice below, then tap Send.
  3. You’ll get a welcome message on WhatsApp and a confirmation text from Seezonee.

What you agree to when you send START

Your employer’s sign-up poster or link shows this notice next to the QR code. Here is an example:

Get work messages from your employer on WhatsApp.
Scan the code, then tap Send.

By sending START, you agree to receive work messages from [your employer’s name] on WhatsApp. You also agree to receive text alerts from Seezonee at (833) 863-5994 when a message is waiting for you. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms: seezonee.com/terms-of-service. Privacy: seezonee.com/privacy-policy.

What the texts look like

  • Confirmation: “Seezonee: You’re set up for work message alerts. When a message is waiting for you in WhatsApp, we’ll text you a link. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”
  • Alert: “Seezonee: Hi Sam, you have a new work message waiting in WhatsApp. Tap to open it, then tap Send: https://go.seezonee.com/m/7K2Q Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • Help: “Seezonee work message alerts. For help, email support@seezonee.com. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Texts never contain the work message itself. You read it in WhatsApp.

How often

It depends on how often your employer messages you. Once you open a message, the rest of that day’s messages arrive in WhatsApp without a text.

Stopping and starting again

  • Reply STOP to any Seezonee text. Your mobile carrier will confirm. This also stops WhatsApp messages from your employer through Seezonee.
  • Or send STOP on WhatsApp. That also stops the text alerts.
  • To start again, send START on WhatsApp and text START to (833) 863-5994.
