Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time, and Seezonee complies with Meta’s User Data Deletion requirements. This page explains what we hold, how to ask us to delete it, and what we are obliged to keep.

What data we hold

For businesses operating on the platform we hold the business profile and account-holder details (name, email, business-registration information), WhatsApp Business Account identifiers (WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone-number ID, business-portfolio ID), staff-roster data your business uploaded (name, phone number, optional role/department), and message metadata (sender, timestamp, delivery status). We do not retain message bodies long-term, and we do not access the Facebook profiles of your staff.

How to request deletion

Email privacy@seezonee.com from the address associated with your account, and tell us what you would like deleted (your whole account, or a specific staff record or phone number). In line with PIPEDA, we respond to deletion requests within 30 days. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are a staff member of a business that uses Seezonee, deletion requests about your information are usually handled by the business that employs you. Email us anyway — we will help you and the business respond.

Deleting your WhatsApp connection

When a business cancels its subscription or asks us to disconnect, we revoke the connected WhatsApp Business Account access credentials within 30 days, so Seezonee can no longer send messages or access that WhatsApp Business Account on the business’s behalf.

What is deleted and what we must keep

On request we delete your business profile and associated operational data. A limited set of records is retained for legal and compliance reasons:

• Opt-out records (phone numbers that requested STOP) are retained indefinitely, as a phone-number-only suppression list, so we can continue to honour a person’s choice not to be messaged.
• Consent records (opt-in, opt-out, and parental-consent timestamps) are retained for up to 3 years after the business relationship ends, to demonstrate consent if required.
• Audit-log entries are retained for 3 years to meet our security and accountability obligations.
• Account, billing, tax, and accounting records are retained for the period required by applicable law.

When data reaches the end of its retention period it is permanently deleted from production systems; backups roll off on a 90-day cycle.

As a WhatsApp Business Platform Technology Provider, Seezonee complies with Meta’s User Data Deletion requirements and handles Platform Data in accordance with the Meta Data Processing Terms.
